Short Documentary: Epidemic! Survivors' Spirit

Epidemic: Affecting or tending to affect a disproportionately large number of individuals within a population, community or region at the same time.

This is a brief documentary of hope, human spirit, and overcoming
life's obstacles told through the eyes of Polio Survivors.

“Doing the impossible” has always been a driving force behind those who had polio. This documentary "short" was shown at the International Post-Polio Health Conference held at Warm Springs, GA in April 2009.

“EPIDEMIC! SURVIVORS’ SPIRIT” is truly a story of hope and the human spirit in overcoming life’s obstacles.

Reno County Museum Polio Survivor's Exhibit: Hope and the Human Spirit

We are glad to be able to share this Video Tour of the now closed exhibit that we were able to present at the Reno County Museum, Hutchinson, KS. The video is in two parts as displayed below.

When the morning's freshness has been replaced by the weariness of midday,
When the leg muscles quiver under the strain,
The climb seems endless, and, suddenly,
Nothing will go quite as you wish -
It is then that you must not hesitate.
